History
Tom Merkle, owner / operator started out
at the age of 10 and has been dedicated to growing his lawn care
business with the latest equipment and the utmost care for you turf.
"I have always
had a love for equipment and at a young age took a liking to
tractors. My great grandfather was a truck patch farmer and I can
remember digging potatoes with my grandfather, mom and dad. I was
always fascinated my grandfathers tractors and trucks. At the age of
10 I was looking to have some spending money and started with my
first mowing customer, which I still have today; 20 years later. In
1993 Merkle’s Mowing was officially started. My business has grown
mainly through referrals from my loyal customer base. Attention to
detail, maintaining a very good customer relationship along with
good communication has been key to my progress. Most of my customers
have known me as I have grown as a business and as a person. For me
reputation is everything. You can always reach me directly to deal
with any needs or questions. I am dedicated to my work, I love what
I do, and it shows in the results. I am always looking for new
products and attending certification and education classes to better
my services."

IMoLwnz….. ???? " I Mow Lawns ", shortened to
fit on a Pennsylvania license plate. This of course has a story
behind it. While on a trip to Atlanta, GA in 1990, once again
with my parents and grandparents, we came across a Lexus in a
mall parking lot that had a plate which read I SEL DRT (I Sell
Dirt). We thought that it was an interesting plate and I
immediately said that when I got a truck my plate would be “I
Mow Lawns”. It just fits. I’ve been involved with mowing lawns
for 20 years now and it’s part of who I am. |
